Today I was able to go to a lovely high tea hosted by someone who has inspired me a lot over last year since I found her blog, Eleanor aka the creator of Petite Kitchen. Eleanor already has two recipe journals out and has just recently released a full cook book, which I have yet to get my hands on but from what I have seen it looks utterly amazing. I had met Eleanor a before as we have mutual connections, but today I was lucky enough to have a quick chat to her and pretty much gush to her about how she was quite the inspiration for my cook book that I wrote last year for my personal project.
But to the high tea; I went with a friend of mine who's 17th birthday is tomorrow, and us being both quite the foodies we were extremely satisfied. The vast array of sweet and savoury treats were all bursting with flavour and I was left with the hard task to try re create some of these delicious little works of culinary art at home. The high tea was held at Hotel Debrett, which is at the bottom of High street. The hotel itself was lovely, its somewhere that I have walked past many times but never really noticed, and it's definitely somewhere thats inside is like a little treasure in the city. I almost want to go stay there during my exams so that I don't have to commute from my house to school everyday. It was lovely to hear a bit more about the woman behind the blog today whilst enjoying such luscious tea and nibbles.
