Cafe review // Kokako
Although I'm not too into my coffee (yet), I have heard from many coffee enthusiasts that Kokako is the cafe to be at. Perched on the corner of Williamson Ave in Grey Lynn, this little cafe is most defiantly worth a visit. I arrived around 12, which seemed to be the peak time to be there as almost every table was full and the cafe was thriving. My friend and I (also named Helena) were quickly seated and we took to our hard decision of deciding what to order. What I absolutely love about this cafe is that it's got one of those menus that you actually want everything. I was tossing up between the quiona, cacao and buckwheat pancakes and the chickpea salad, but the chickpea salad in the cabinet just looked too good to go without. And oh my am I glad that I ordered it, because it was absolutely delicious and the portion was very generous (I got a small which I am thankful for because there was plenty!) Helena ordered the potato hash which she said was amazing and I must say it did look pretty damn good. Overall the I loved the general vibe of the place, the decor suited it perfectly and I felt that it just looked refreshing with the white walls and the decor. I will defiantly be coming back here, and would highly recommend.
